Welcome to 'The Flo Journal' this is my personal blog, where I  write about topics that interest me, from current affairs, social issues, pop culture, interviews, and topics related to my Christian faith as well as documenting my journey into the journalism industry as a young black journalist. 

My name is Fadeke also known by Florence or just Flo, I'm an experienced Journalist, blog writer, and digital storyteller, with 4+ years of creating engaging digital content for non-traditional new media. Specializing in human interest stories and pop culture and having my work featured in PWR magazine, Awallprints Magazine, GROWN Magazine, Reachout2all, Subscript, and Yes Gurl Magazine. I believe my work continues to inspire a new generation of creatives. When I'm not writing, I love to binge-watch old black sitcom shows like Living Single or One on One. 

The story behind starting this blog came from several reasons, including being interested in the current issues happening around the world and wanting to share my opinions on them, as well as my desire to get my creative juices flowing and do something out of my comfort zone.  I hope this blog will inspire the 'STORYTELLER' in YOU! to share your inspiring and unique stories, as well as being a platform to bring much-needed conversations on important topics.
